The Methodology
NAIM is Naveniem's staged-gate AI transformation methodology: five phases, each closed by a gate, enforced by seven mechanically-checked governance controls. It is synthesised from MITRE, Gartner, ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF and BCG research, and is the framework encoded into the PortfolioOne and ValueOne products.
The three NAIM products map onto the methodology as its operating layer: MaturityOne diagnoses (Phase 0), PortfolioOne manages (Phases 1–3), and ValueOne proves (Phase 2 onward) — Diagnose, Manage, Prove.
Five Phases
Each phase closes at a gate with binary exit criteria. The gate mechanics themselves are delivered within client engagements — what's public is the shape of the method.
Baseline maturity across 7 pillars. Know exactly where you stand before a dollar is committed.
Governance architecture before build-out. Buy-partner-build discipline from day one.
Pilots with pre-agreed scale-or-kill thresholds. No pilot purgatory. Ever.
Scale what proved. Reshape workflows around evidence, tracked cost-per-outcome.
Agentic operations with human accountability, governed expansion.
Seven Controls
Each control is checked structurally in the software that runs the transformation — not a recommendation, a mechanism.
Build is the default-reject option. Every build decision requires a written justification.
A numeric target and a date, set before the pilot starts. Miss it without a waiver — the initiative is killed. Automatically.
Proof the system adapts on real production data. Staging doesn't count.
At least 70% of investment on people and process — checked at every gate, not asserted in a slide.
AI spend tied directly to measured business outcomes. The executive reporting unit that replaces token counts.
Per-workflow human-agent teaming ratios with mandatory human override mechanisms.
Maturity re-assessed at key gates — progress measured, not assumed.
The AI Readiness Diagnostic runs Phase 0 as a standalone engagement — a scored baseline across all 21 dimensions in three to four weeks.
