The delivery discipline behind NAIM
After delivering two major statutory election programs — roughly $300M combined, run to an immovable date with zero results invalidated — Naven turned to a problem he'd been watching build for years: organisations pouring ambition into AI transformation, with none of the execution discipline that makes transformation actually stick.
True to character, he didn't theorise about it — he researched it. Mapping the global landscape of AI maturity models, governance standards and delivery frameworks, he found the same gap everywhere: no coherent way for an organisation to know where its AI capability truly stood, to govern its delivery responsibly, or to prove the value on the other side. Plenty of strategy and tooling; almost none of the discipline that turns intent into outcomes.
That research became NAIM — the Naveniem AI Transformation Methodology — a responsible AI delivery and governance approach synthesised from the global standards and grounded in what actually makes delivery work. And because a methodology on paper changes nothing, Naven built the software that enforces it: MaturityOne to show organisations where they honestly stand, PortfolioOne to prioritise and govern the AI portfolio, and ValueOne to prove the benefits are real. Together they give organisations a way through the AI minefield — from honest baseline, to governed delivery, to measured value.
It's the same conviction that has run through his whole career: transformation succeeds or fails on execution discipline, not ambition. Naven designs and ships these AI systems himself — pairing the judgement to set direction with the hands-on capability to build it.
He teaches on the Master of Project Management program at the University of Sydney and holds an active Australian Government security clearance.
